Nalwa Steel And Power Limited (NSPL), a blue chip unit of the O.P. Jindal Group, is in full-fledged production at Raigarh (C.G.). It is an Integrated Steel Plant with the present capacity of 0.36 million ton finished steel and spread over an area of 220 acres with 33% under Green Cover. Our products meet the international quality norms and have been accredited with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 50001:2018 & ISO 45001:2018 for Integrated Management System. |
While talking about the Plant operations and its capacities, our DRI Plant operates on the state-of-the-art technology with an annual capacity of 2,50,000 MT. Various Energy efficiency measures have been implemented in DRI plant. Our Captive Power Plant having an installed capacity of 24 MW {8MW from Waste Heat Recovery Boiler (WHRB) and 16MW from Atmospheric Fluidised Bed Combustion (AFBC) Boiler}. The WHRB boiler utilises the waste heat of DRI Plant and is equipped with ESP to reduce the environmental pollution. Ash Char generated while processing DRI is also utilised in AFBC boiler. The Steel Melting Shop commissioned by the German Technology, has an installed capacity of 2,50,000 MT. It is the first Plant in India to carry out De-Phosphorisation through induction route. The Rolling Mill has an installed capacity of 3,60,000 MTPA. Various improvements to enhance operational efficiency and productivity have been initiated such as Hot Billet Charging to reduce the scale losses, oil and gas consumption, Double strand rolling etc. We have implemented SAP Based Preventive Maintenance for better control. We have Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring system (CAAQMS) and Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) for regular environment monitoring.

We aim to have 1 MTPA steel manufacturing capability by installing state-of-the-art technology of Blast Furnace, Sinter Plant, Coke Oven, Electric Arc Furnaces, Wire Rod Mill, Ferro Alloy Units along with all auxiliaries. We have already taken the Environment Clearance and completed almost all the necessary compliance. Now we are in an advanced stage to finalise all the expansion related project activities.
